We offer a mobile service or you can visit us at our premises.
On the initial visit the Therapist will take a full consultation, this includes present and past medical conditions and an overview of your lifestyle. This will be followed by a treatment session if there are no contraindications.
The theory of Reflexology is that reflex points on the feet and hands are linked to other areas and organs of the body. Tension or congestion in any part of the foot may mirror tension or congestion in a corresponding part, and the aim of the therapy is that treating the whole foot may have a deeply relaxing and healing effect on the whole body.
The Reflexologist will then use their hands to apply pressure to the feet.
During the treatment a professionally trained Reflexologist may detect subtle changes in various points on the feet, and by working on these points may affect the corresponding organ or system of the body.
HOW WILL I FEEL AFTER A RELEXOLOGY TREATMENT?
Everyone has their own individual bio chemistry and responses to the treatment may vary from client to client. Some people say they feel a sense of well being and relaxation, some people may experience what is known as a “healing reaction”, which may include feeling slightly tired but this is only expected to last a day or two, followed by the positive effect of the treatment, which may include an increase in energy levels and relaxation. At subsequent sessions the client will feed back to the Reflexologist, so further treatments can be tailored to the client's individual needs.
